this view, it never gets old.
when i lived in donnelly, i’d come trail run here on my days off. when i lived out at krassel, i’d drive by here every time i went to town to get groceries.
i love the view so much, that i even got a tattoo of it on my shoulder.
while sometimes i just stare at the view from the road, other times i’ll hike to either of the two lakes. its high up, so often times the morning is quite cold- frost is typical.
while it’s a fairly trafficked trail, its usually really quiet. there are lots of small streams along the way, and it holds moisture all year. with all of the vegetation, noise is really dampened.
its a place i go to take a “breather” from life. great workout, and some of the most stunning views!
